Jumping Jehosaphat!

There is never a dull moment while diving in Gorontalo. Yesterday during a surface interval, guests shouted in excitement to see a school of fish jumping along the surface within a few meters of the boat. And then the cause of their alarm became apparent when a nice Spanish mackerel jumped out of the water, clearing the surface by about a meter and a half. Then in continual pursuit of the smaller fish, the mackerel jumped twice more. Ironically, the dive location was not along a spectacular coral wall but in a shallow sand bay. Where else but Gorontalo can guests see a jumping pelagic at a muck site!
